JOB TITLE: Staff Accountant
Develop tax projections, perform tax planning and the related tasks. Prepare financial statement analysis and financial reports, payroll tax filings, etc.
Specific job duties are as follows: Use Ultra Tax CS, Planner CS, Fixed Assets CS, Planner CS and Creative Solutions Accounting to develop tax projections, perform tax planning, tax compliance, and tax filings, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements for individuals, corporations, partnerships and fiduciary entities on a timely basis. Conduct research on advanced tax and accounting issues. Prepare memorandums and research reports and present to partners based on GAAP. Perform financial statement analysis and valuations of corporations and business using multiple valuation methodologies. Use QuickBooks and Sage 50 to prepare financial reports, adjusting entries, and year-end closing based on GAAP. Suggest methods to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice as per client's request. Assess financial operations and make best-practices recommendations to our clients. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Inspect and audit accounting systems to improve efficiency based on accepted accounting procedures. Use QuickBooks to perform payroll and payroll tax filings following federal and multi-states’ regulations. Consulting with client regarding detailed explanation of findings after examining and preparing financial documentation, and preparing written reports. Use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access to prepare monthly sales tax return in multi-states. Help Clients establish, dissolve companies and apply for business licenses in multi-states following federal and state regulations.
Master's degree in Accounting plus 2 years of experience. In lieu of the above, we will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience. Foreign degree equivalent is acceptable. We will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience. Experience to include working with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Monthly Sales tax return in different states, payroll and payroll tax filings in multi-states, federal & multi-states’ individual and company tax returns, establishing & dissolving companies, business license applications in various states, and Auditing related experience.
HOURS: M-F, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
